New super-light crate for transport cost reduction

Faurecia is the largest supplier of vehicle components to the European automotive industry, supplying several manufacturers. To provide all automotive plants Faurecia yearly executes many transports.  To optimize the usage of space on truck platforms, Faurecia ordered a new transport crate from Schoeller Arca Systems.


The crate we developed, called PreLog, is foldable for return transport and its empty weight is only 3.1 kg, despite the fact that it has 80 litre capacity. It holds yet 10% more components than the previous solution and the transport costs are reduced by up to 10%.
