Foldable Large Container for Euro Pool System

Euro Pool System is the European largest rental company for returnable packaging for fruit and vegetables. The company has a large European network of depots, and boasts a combined range of over 70 million containers.

Euro Pool System was on the look out for a bigger version of the existing 600 x 400 and 400 x 300 mm container systems. The new solution needed to hold a weight of up to 150 kg in load and be compatible with the existing handling equipment. In addition the container should have a volume reduction of over 60% compared with normal rigid units, offer an attractive display for fresh produce at the point of sale and be equipped with sidewall openings for easy loading and unloading.

Schoeller Arca Systems developed an exclusive version of the Magnum SH 760 P to meet all Euro Pool System’s requirements, available with and without wheels.

The container was an immediate success, working well both as transport packaging and as attractive display unit in shops. In addition, the foldable solution has led to space savings in the logistic chain and to a decrease in product damage during transport.
