Schoeller Arca Systems not only supplies the packaging, but aims to offer customers a solution that is both cost-effective and complete.  Where applicable, we work closely with customers to develop a tailor-made packaging solution utilising our range of plastic storage containers, which ensures that each vehicle component is packaged to the required specifications.

The range

We offer the broadest possible range for the automotive sector: from the smallest bin of our System 9000, used to store nuts weighing just a few grammes, to the biggest foldable container, Combo for transport and handling of 1 tonne of painting powder.

Handling unit

Our range includes all standard plastic storage boxes now required by VDA and Galia. If you additionally use our Euro containers for automotive, we can meet all demands from a 300 x 200 to a 600 x 400 mm base. We even have solutions for longer bases such as 800 x 400 and 1000 x 400 mm.

With the development of avoiding one-way packaging in this market, all car makers and suppliers use a complete system with plastic pallet, storage container and cover. Schoeller Arca Systems offers different solutions with a stripe system for increased efficiency. This year, for example, we have launched a new cover, compatible with all standard pallets and plastic storage boxes in the market. A clever rim provides maximum security.

Foldable Small Containers

Due to the increase in distance between different production units and the high cost of transport we have created different collapsible crates for different uses. 10 models, with and without lids are offered in 400 x 300, 600 x 400 and 600 x 500 mm dimensions. Last year, for a leader in production of headrests, we created a completely new system, a container which provides the best ratio between maximum volume utilisation, minimum box handling and cost of return. This container has become the standard for this market.     
     

Pallets

We provide over 120 types of pallets for every use, from the limited journey pallet for long-distance export, through the medium pallet for a maximum load of 500 kg, to the heavy pallet for a one tonne load in racking.
For the automotive market, the sizes offered are 600 x 400, 800 x 600, 1200 x 800, 1200 x 1000, 1140 x 1140, 1200 x 1200, with feet or with runners, closed or open versions, welded or one shot production. We’ve got the right pallet for any system.

MAGNUM:  Foldable Large Containers

We were one the first companies to develop a range of large, plastic foldable storage boxes, and our offering is the largest and the strongest in the world. Every year for the past decade we have launched a new concept or product. In 2006, we plan to start producing two new collapsible containers of 800 X 600 mm for the automotive industry. These will support a load of 700 kg.
 
Using new welding technology, we can offer customers a container with smooth sides (in and outside) for easier cleaning and external storage, low tara and better resistance of the container. Our repairs concept ensures a long and useful life for all MAGNUM plastic storage boxes.
